A glass of blackberry and avocado antioxidant smoothie

Blackberry & Avocado Fertility Smoothie

One of the easiest ways to bump up your sperm and egg protecting antioxidants - is to make a daily smoothie.

Try to use organic berries as most berries can be loaded with pesticides. Keep a few different varieties in your freezer so you don’t end up having the same smoothie over and over again.

Try to vary your smoothies from week to week and try to alternate between green, purple and yellow smoothies.

Below is a Blackberry Smoothie Recipe great for both you and your partner.

The recipe serves 2.


  • 1 cup blackberries
  • ¼ cup pomegranate seeds, cranberries or raspberries
  • ½ small beetroot chopped
  • 1 tbsp black chia seeds
  • ½ an avocado
  • 2 tsp grated ginger
  • a good squeeze of lemon or lime
  • 1 tbsp collagen peptides
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • ½ cup ice cubes


  • 1 tsp magnesium powder - tropical of berry flavour
  • 1 tsp Inulin powder
  • 1000 mg N-Acetylcysteine powder
  • 1 tsp Inositol powder

    Place all ingredients into a Nutribullet or other good blender and process until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy.

    Any leftover juice can be stored in a glass jar in the fridge for one day.
