The aim of the Healthy Pregnancy Program is to help create the best pregnancy outcome for you and your baby. Being pregnant should be a time full of joy and excitement and not an endurance run.
Appointments with a fertility naturopath are usually 45 minutes and during this time you will have plenty of time to discuss any concerns and ask questions, have your blood results and supplements assessed and prepare for the following months of your pregnancy. In between your appointments you will have email access to your naturopath.
Sometimes, symptoms or disorders which you develop during pregnancy are signs that there isn’t enough nutrients for both you and your baby. During pregnancy nutrition goes to your baby first, so it is important to address any new symptoms early for the best pregnancy outcome. Although it is very important to get assessed by your GP or obstetrician, a naturopath can both help prevent and manage most symptoms or disorders which occurs during pregnancy.
If you have a tendency to suffer from low immunity – easily picking up cough and colds, we can help improve your immunity naturally we can also help with acute infections, should they occur.
Many discomforts during pregnancy could have been prevented by doing preconception care. However, if you are pregnant now, you can still benefit from the healthy pregnancy program, as we will try to prevent and/or pick up on any nutritional deficiencies along the way. As well as help treat any discomforts or disorders which may develop along the way.
The Healthy Pregnancy Program consists of 4 appointments during the 9 months of pregnancy. The appointments are divided over the 3 trimesters with 1 appointment in the first trimester, 1 appointment in the second trimester and 2 appointments in the third trimester.
The natural supplements used together with a nutrient rich, whole food diet and appropriate lifestyle choices support your body and help your birthing experience.
